Lineup and details for New City Sound on Sunday 29th August 2010
BLACK IS BACK!
NCS is bringing Joey Negro back to Bristol on Bank Holiday Sunday 29 August! After rocking a full house for our second birthday in March 2008, we couldn't leave it any longer before asking the man to deliver again.
Joey Negro (aka Dave Lee) is one of the most respected, prolific and original artists in the industry. Under his array of aliases - Jakatta, Akabu, Sessamato, Doug Willis, Raven Maize, The Sunburst Band, Z Factor and AC Soul Symphony - Joey has been involved with over 200 releases, including 12 UK top 40 hits. He has remixed for the likes of Mariah Carey, Royksopp, Artful Dodger, Sugababes, M People, Diana Ross, Pet Shop Boys, Brand New Heavies, Ultra Nate, Sister Sledge, Simply Red, Take That and Lionel Ritchie. Joey's own record label has also seen countless releases, including from the likes of Basement Jax and Masters At Work.
As a DJ, Joey Negro is hot property; his eclectic sound, delivered in mind blowing performances, has graced the world's hottest spots for over twenty years. He is an MN2S resident, regularly rocking at The End (London) and El Divino (Ibiza). Mixing up many genres, personal re edits, and blending classics with the freshest new cuts, a Joey Negro set in simply one in a million.
NCS is putting everything into making this THE bank holiday event this August, pulling in a stellar supporting cast from across the South West. Alongside Joey in the main room will be DJ, Producer and radio presenter Phil England and up and coming Cardiff based DJ Mike Love.
The top floor is being hosted by Bristol's very own Retro Electro with Matt Langson, Craig Brown, Paul Morrisey and Shauny P on duty.
We've lined up some gorgeous dancers to add a touch of sparkle, and to round things off we are releasing advance tickets at just £6! Joey Negro never plays to anything less than a sell out crowd, so best get your skates on!
If you are travelling from Wales, return coach travel is being laid on. Enjoy a few drinks alongside Bristol's chic waterside before having a night to remember with NCS & Joey Negro. There are plenty of city centre hotels for people staying over and Bristol coach station and Temple Meads train station are both minutes away from the bars and club.
This is that last NCS club event for 2010 so we hope you can join us for an unforgettable night with JOEY NEGRO!
