"Former Monk and Canatella songwriter and guitarist Jim Johnstons
forthcoming debut solo release (06/02/12) is an Indie rock epic
entwined with tales of love, darkness & resurrection (think Syd
Barrett meets Jimi Hendrix and The Smiths). Voyage of Oblivion was
recorded live in a day and encapsulates vintage, classic rock & Indie
sounds of the 60's, 70's and 80's.
The Bristol-based Jim Johnston band will play several exclusive UK
dates February 2012 in support of the album. If the live shows are
anything like the electrifying, acclaimed shows from Johnston's
previous band, they will be unforgettable events that are not to be
missed."
