Alabaster DePlume
He is one of the UK's most original poets and, in the eyes of many, the greatest of those that currently perform their work. In between the lyrical ranting his beloved tenor is never long from his lips; it hangs there like a great golden pacifier or bloodhound's tongue. He can blow it hard enough to keep Buster Keaton chasing his chapeau for weeks - but also coax from its depths notes softer than a crumb of madeleine floating in lime-flower tea.
In addition to his solo poetry shows he plays sax with Liz Green, The Honeyfeet, John Fairhurst, The Halelujah Whip and Louis Barabbas (with whom he also collaborates on writing for theatre).
