[b][size=10pt] KID CARPET: ONE MAN ELECTRO-POP BAND
He's a one-man electronic band, playing broken-hearted modern music, with wit and style (and a few props). He recently appeared on the new ITV music show 'Earshot', playing a one-day tour of London. That's right, multiple shows in one town on the same day! Live he plays an electro-pop cover of Van Halen's 'Jump' that features voice samples from Ivor Cutler. And his single 'Sh*t Dope' samples the 80's Children's TV programme Choc-a-bloc. Expect dodgy samples, carboot sale keyboards, kids toys, plastic guitar solos, dodgy singing, pathos aplenty and sellotape.

[b][size=12pt]CLAYTON BLIZZARD : 9PM EARLY SHOWCASE
"His lyrics are incredible; he raps; he sings; he improvises but unlike some of his contemporaries he can write original tunes played with skill and ease. He speaks the truth with a dose of reality. This is what music should be about: fusion is the future. Black meets white, genre meets genre, folk and phat, inspiring and pure genius." The Fly "Clayton Blizzard: one man, an acoustic guitar and a microphone but the exact opposite of Ralph McTell. Bristolís own Johnny Vegas of hip hop and bastard son of Bill Hicks, Blizzard is Bristol's most politically charged hip hop artist and he's pissed off." Choke "We have a winner! A Bristol based lord with a sword; it'll stab you in the dance lobe, so beware. Simply put it's the cock-spatch." Egg Magazine "One of the most endearing one man and his guitar arrangements we've seen for a while. It's hip-hop on an acoustic guitar and is a very personal performance that is sharp and highly appealing." Gigwise.com "Ultra witty acoustic hip hop and political songs of the people; the original intentions of folk re-incarnated in a modern medium. Itís entertaining, endearing and occasionally uncomfortably on the money." Fact Fans "Inflected in that West Country slur that seems to often infer some mental incapacity, but this man is plainly quite sharp. Somewhere between the political and societal comment of Chris T T, the pop heart and white boy hip-hop of MC Lars and the questionable humour of Goldie Lookin' Chain." Drowned in Sound // "Bristol based rapper and singer delivering post millennium thoughts over hooky folk guitars; captivating." Music Week
