Picnic in the Park listings

"Picnic in the Park" is a community-led mini festival hosted by St Werburghs Centre, taking place on Sunday 4th September between midday and 4pm, at Mina Road Park.

Picnic in the Park is a fun-filled, family-friendly extravaganza designed specifically to cater for every age and taste, gathering the whole community together.

There will be a Performance stage with live music from Finnegan's Chin, Sisters of Swing and Kid Carpet, as well as dance performances.

Several activities will be taking place for teens including dance workshops, bike workshops, graffitti workshop with Silent Hobo and Circomedia workshop.

For kids there will be storytelling with Martin Maudsley, a bouncy castle, workshops with Wild about St Werburghs, face-painting and hula-hooping.

For adults we have film screenings of classic black and white films, yoga, tai-chi, dance workshops and a wellbeing area offering massage taster sessions and skincare workshops.

Bring lunch with you, or you can buy from the stall holders or local cafes.

Picnic in the Park has been funded by BCC Festival and Events Fund, NP Wellbeing Grant, University of Bristol RAG Fund distributed by Quartet Community Foundation and The Concertina Charitable Trust.
