Lineup and Details for SPORTING EVENT OF THE YEAR COMES TO CABOT CIRCUS on Sat 4th August 2012
As sporting fever takes a grip on the nation, Quakers Friars is celebrating by showing all of the action for free on a giant screen the perfect opportunity for soaking up the competitive atmosphere and cheering on Team GB!
If you didn't manage to secure tickets to the sporting event of the year but still want to experience the excitement, then head to Quakers Friars for live open air screenings and follow the most hotly anticipated competitions.
Whether you want to take in the opening ceremony in style, catch the best of Britains talent in the cycling or are a fan of the athletics, you wont have to miss a moment in this exciting year. Beginning on 27 July, all of the sporting action will be shown live until the closing ceremony on 12 August.
Kevin Duffy, Cabot Circus Centre Director said, "As the countdown to the games begins, we are celebrating by bringing all of the thrills and spills of the games to Quakers Friars. Only a lucky few of us will have scored tickets to the events so we hope that our big screen will offer the perfect place for people to come together and enjoy the exhilarating atmosphere.
"For anyone feeling peckish, there are some great delis and restaurants nearby, as well as our local produce market which takes place every Saturday until October, offering a delicious selection of cakes, artisan breads, locally-produced cheeses, chutneys and more!"
