Medieval Mayhem in Broadmead listings

Medieval festivities will be the attraction of the day this Saturday (28 August) as Broadmead hosts its free Medieval Mayhem event, as part of its ‘Great British Days Out’ for shoppers this summer. Activities take place outside Marks & Spencer’s between 11am and 5pm, promising a whole day of fun for all the family.

Would-be young princes, princesses and knights are invited to get involved in a day of medieval tomfoolery, complete with face-painting and dressing-up. Adventurous youngsters will get the chance to try their hand at hobby horse racing and archery or they may choose to bounce the day away in a medieval castle.  Those brave enough could try their luck in the medieval stocks, or enjoy drenching Broadmead’s very own ‘villain’ for the day with wet sponges. Meanwhile Broadmead’s jovial jesters will be sure to keep the whole family entertained.

Jo Hawkins, Broadmead Manager said: “Our Medieval Mayhem event will transport families back in time to an era when knights and princesses were the celebrities of the day.  Children will love dressing up, and getting hands-on with the knight training sessions, while mum and dad can enjoy the entertainment happy in the knowledge that all of our activities are free of charge!

”There will also be the chance to win an excellent prize from one of the Broadmead retailers so make sure you come on down to enjoy the fun.”

In addition, The Mall Bristol is joining in the fun by offering shoppers the chance to win anything from instant cash and retailer vouchers to a grand prize donated by @Moss. Lucky shoppers could win any one of these prizes by grabbing as many tokens as they can in 30 seconds. All they have to do is to visit the Cash Cube which can be found on the ground floor from 10.30am – 4.30pm.
