Caught in the Net By Ray Cooney listings

In March 2012 Wick Theatre Company presents the hilarious farce Caught in the Net by Ray Cooney. Written in 2001, this is the sequel to the Cooney classic Run for Your Wife.

Set 18 years after the original, also being performed exactly 18 years after Wick Theatre Companys critically acclaimed production of Run For Your Wife and featuring several of our original cast members we catch up with taxi driver John Smith and his continuing antics....

The two-timing taxi-driver John Smith continues to revel in his dual-shift-double-wife lifestyle, and is still blessed with the round-the-clock help and unwavering support of his lodger and friend Stanley. The only difference is that he now has a son and a daughter, by different wives, of course. The teenagers have never met each other, nor do they know each others existence, yet a crisis looms, because we now have.....the internet. Brother and sister have found each other in a chat-room and having discovered that they both have a dad named John Lawrence Smith, and that both dads drive cabs they are so excited at having so much in common that they arrange to meet leaving our polygamous taxi-driver and Stanley racking their brains and pulling out all stops to prevent the siblings encounter.
