Formed in 2002 by brothers Sergio and Santiago Mejia, LA 33's infectious mix of seminal New York City salsa and Colombia's new wave urban barrio sound first hit the Bogota airwaves on the band's eponymous 2004 debut album. The follow-up, last year's groove-laden Gozalo , was a potent cocktail of salsa, bolero, boogaloo, Latin jazz and the funky rhythms of costeño from Colombia's Caribbean coast.

With classy arrangements, virtuoso soloing, outstanding musicianship and - of course - 24-carat dance rhythms, this is glorious Latin party music for the 21st-century urban salsero.
