Big Beach Cafe Brighton & Hove

We are an independent and locally-owned business in Hove Lagoon, committed to providing excellent quality food and drink at prices that everyone can afford, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We use local suppliers wherever possible, such as Piglets Pantry (a local award winning pie company) and Life Water. We do our own Big Beach Cafe blend of Drury coffee which is rain forest certified. Our aim is to be as inclusive as possible - we welcome coffee connoisseurs, families, fitness and sports groups, dog walkers, beachcombers, aliens, you name it. We will be open all year round - come rain or shine!

Big Beach Cafe is run by Dan Stockland, a classically trained and qualified chef; a true cook with a career that spans more than 20 years working in a diverse range of environments, from opening Conran’s ‘Bluebird Caf�’ in Chelsea, to touring with the world's top artists and bands, including Eminem, Kanye West, Coldplay and Robbie Williams. More recently Dan was head chef at 'Fillet of Soul' bistro in Cornwall, and was the personal chef to a French Count!
