Jenny & Stuart, winners of the North East Lindy Jazz Competition 2008, teach regular 8-week courses in Lindy Hop, within easy reach of Leeds & Bradford, West Yorkshire. 8pm Beginners/Improvers, 9pm Intermediates.
Lindy Hop is a partner dance & really cool form of jive which developed in Harlem in the 30’s/40’s and was the forerunner of all other forms of jive. It’s still very popular today & is danced socially worldwide, attracting a wide variety of age groups.
The classes are suitable for everyone, including beginners. We make it as easy as possible and build your skills up very gradually. It does help if you have a partner but it’s not essential. Our classes are friendly, fun and very informal, but you do need to book in advance. To find out more please contact us.
