The exhibition explores the conceptual qualities of paper: the way which it begins to articulate a complex set of ideas from repetition, materiality, consumption and production while maintaining its strong aesthetic and creative presence as an art object.

Jeannie Driver makes work from A4 waste office paper. This ubiquitous material is a symbol of immaterial production and a signifier of the bureaucracy. Through re-processing the discarded material, Jeannie makes works that reference issues of consumption, flow and waste. www.jeanniedriver.com.

Christopher Lundie is researching the relationship between repetition and printmaking. His work challenges the processes involved in print production. The artist enjoys the repetitive nature of printmaking and exaggerates this at all stages of production: inconsistencies in the printing press, ink, paper, and matrix are highly controlled to produce small changes to each edition. Christopher is the SHP Resident Artist in Printmaking. christopherlundie.wordpress.com/.
