On the First Monday of Every Month we are privileged to host a ginormous Big Jazz Band onto the White Horse stage. Trumpets, trombones, saxes, clarinets, keyboards, bass and drums and sometimes a vocalist as well. Anywhere between 15 to 20 participants all working their way through a huge repertoire of traditional and modern written down Big Band Arrangements. Its a joyous sound to behold and wonderful to hear Big Band Jazz this close up - if you haven't before you don't know what you're missing.  On the third Monday of each month tenor sax & flautist veteran Brian White brings his swinging Quintet into the Horse to entertain and amaze with their virtuosity.  All other Monday jazz sessions invites students young & mature from the local music colleges down to the Horse to whizz their precocious talents around our stage. You just cannot beat it with a stick and/or a pint of real ale or whatever you pleasure. Keep swinging you hep cats !!.
