Come Share Your Childhood Memories in Birmingham!

From Monday, 19 May, The Children's Society is inviting shoppers to share their favourite childhood memories at The Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham , as part of the nationwide Hundreds and Thousands of Childhood Memories online campaign (www.hundredsandthousands.org.uk). ITV presenter, Alison Hammond launched the event.

By coming down and sharing your memory, you can help make childhood better. Whether it is the first time you rode a bike, went fishing with your dad or won a game of Twister, The Children’s Society wants to hear all about it.

The nationwide initiative, backed by singer, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, is travelling across the country in an effort to start the biggest collection of childhood memories* all of which will be added to The Good Childhood® Inquiry, the first independent inquiry into what makes a good childhood.

Alison Hammond, celebrity interviewer for ITV, who launched the Bullring event, said of her childhood: “I remember my mum buying me some new roller skates - ones with 4 wheels.  I loved them! Also, playing on my Grifter; secretly though, I wanted a Chopper!”

The event will be at The Bullring until Sunday, 25 May, however if you cannot make it to this event, you can also go online to share and view your most treasured childhood memory at www.hundredsandthousands.org.uk.
