Review of BPM - DJ & Electronic Music Production Event
BPM/PRO this year was (and has always been) a great event for DJs/Industry professionals. It's the best chance to try out all of the latest gear, as well as the ability to watch big-name artists/performers and speak to/network with professionals about each and every aspect of the Mobile DJ/Sound/Lighting industries. This year the show made now exception and definatley did not fail to deliver! I'll definatley be back for BPM/PRO 2016!

Review of BPM - DJ & Electronic Music Production Event
Very impressive event, will be back next year, could nearly use 4 days to get around it all. The NEC is a fantastic location, hadn't been there before but found the access from the Airport / Birmingham City Centre excellent and easy to manage also. NEC staff also top notch to help out with anything.

Very disappointing been there for years and this was the worst one yet spaced out too much and its stands was half the size they were last year I won't be going next year unless they can prove to me it will be better than this year next year is 10 years should be bigger and better?

Review of BPM - DJ & Electronic Music Production Event
I bought the standard tickets and I was so glad. Great value for money, I intended on upgrading upon arrival for my boyfriend and I but there was no reason to pay any more without being completely ripped off. I only went for the one day on Saturday but got the value out of my standard tickets in my opinion.
It would have been nice to see some more interactive stands, better attention paid to the equipment as some was not working when trying to text and not enough staff to ask for advice or help, have information about how software runs on computers so people don't have to 'email after the event' to find out as this is a key part in making a purchase of equipment.
For a place like the NEC I would expect health and hygiene regulations to be stuck to but the VIP bar looked a bit too relaxed on that front this year. I saw a man cough and then help himself to crisps in an open bowl. Last year there were sealed individual packets of crisps, this year loose cakes and crisps? Really, they are out from the start of the day til the end? I wouldn't pay £100 for that and no real food like sandwiches or something (I know about costing for bars at events too so I know with the price for tickets this is realistic, you would also up sales for VIP tickets by doing so. )
Plus in the arena, VIPs and enhanced can sit at the back (they cant see anything when the arena is full of people standing) it should be raised so they can still enjoy when busy as they have paid the money to see the stage. This is why I always look round before upgrading.
workshop/lessons were very interesting, however the Scratching championships made the whole day amazing.
Hopefully this feedback is helpful,

This is a fantastic event, very well run, huge product display and all the exhibitors were extremely helpful and friendly. All the staff on the ground were also very helpful and friendly. Probably the best event I was ever at!!!

lot of trade stands who had excellent knowledge of the product but not about price all they would say is ask you local retailer and ask for a discount
Most of the stand were geared for the club market and not the mobile DJ
there should be more stands like the DJ kit stand

Review of BPM - DJ & Electronic Music Production Event
The event is really good. Like the fact that Club (pro) and Mobile sections are separate, good idea. Be good to have more shops selling equipment, there seemed to be only a couple this year. The Learning Zones are great but completely in the wrong place, they had to turn the music and mics up so loud to hear them. These should be in a quite zone maybe walled off between BMP and Pro would make more sense. NI and maybe serato should be there (not just to promote their new product) to take questions about their programs, anything, whatever people have questions about! It would be packed! Lack of eye candy which is a shame! Shame that the DMC mixing had to start with a multitude of swear words considering how many young children there were. Im afraid I don't call that DJing and left quickly. Clever, but pants! Anyway overall event gets a 99% from me! (lost 1% for the swearing).

Review of BPM - DJ & Electronic Music Production Event
Didn't come up to scratch this year, due to lack of options for looking around. All exhibitors were demoing the same types of equipment. DJs were all scratch DJs and so for the mobile DJ who does weddings etc... Not much to go on. The learning zones didn't feature anything for the long time mobile DJ worth listening to. Ability to buy things was limited on the day to just 3 shops and only 1 of those had stock to take away there and then. Only highlight really was BassHeads on the Sunday night. Kelly Llorenna was very disappointing and needed a vocal coach! N-Trance and Ultrabeat made the Dance Classic party really good. Chauvet light show was amazing as always. Glad I chose not to spend the extra on the VIP ticket. Will probably miss next year and hope the year after it has improved.
