Description of The Belgian Cafe - Eastbourne

Situated on Eastbourne's seafront, this café-restaurant brings a little slice of Belgium to the Sussex coast. Inside, it is almost a shrine to all things Belgian, with pictures of Tintin on the walls and advertisements for Belgian beers - all of which can be found on the 100-strong beer menu. The food focuses on that traditional Belgian meal - mussels. There are endless permutations of ingredients and flavours and they all come with crunchy, fluffy frites and mayonnaise. There are other dishes available, but it would seem churlish to come here if you don't like seafood. A three-course meal here costs an average of £25 per person.
