Description of Gourmet Spot
Molecular gastronomy comes to Durham in the form of Gourmet Spot, a chic little red and black restaurant with a creative menu and spectacular views across the city. Diners are given test tubes and syringes containing different flavours to complement the cutting-edge cuisine, while liquid nitrogen is used in the creation of dishes such as the award-winning frozen balloon of Earl Grey tea, served with brown toast and marmalade purée, raspberry jelly and shortcake.
