Description of Puncheon
Puncheon offers a warm welcome in the winter and plenty of outdoor space for seating and standing in a secluded courtyard, which is bathed in sunshine during the summer months. Situated off Cowcross Street and ideal for the areas of Smithfield, Farringdon and Clerkenwell, Puncheon's food ranges from bar snacks and sandwiches to a full 2 or 3-course menu. The staff aim to source only the finest cuts of meat and fish, simply cooked in an efficient and tasty fashion, complemented by many fresh salads. There is a wide selection of wines from around the world here, featuring some of the most famous names. Many of the wines are available by the glass and bottle, and vintage Port is also decanted daily and served similarly. Additionally, you can try Davy's 1870 lager and watch terrestrial sports on a plasma screen television.
