Description of Mango & Silk

Mango and Silk takes the residents of East Sheen on a culinary tour of authentic regional dishes of India, from Tandoor dishes from the north to Parsi cooking from Bombay to fish curries from Bengal and vegetable specialities from Rajasthan. Starters include Chatpat Channa, spiced chickpeas (£4.25), Punjabi Lamb Samosa (£4.50) and Goan Prawn Balchao, hot prawn masala (£5.75). Mains include the Sindh delicacy Sal Bhaji (£5.75) of split yellow peas, greens and vegetables, for fish lovers there?s a hot and spicy Kerala Meen Curry (£8.25) with fennel and black pepper and for carnivores the Mangalorean chicken curry, Kori Gasi (£7.25) and Tandoor Ginger Lamb (£7.95). There are weekday 'express' lunches (£5.50) and on Sunday (midday-3pm) the Whistle Stop Tour of India buffet focuses on a specific region (£11.95/children £6.95).
