Every now and then an act turns up that completely changes the rules of house music. One shining example of forward thinking creative initiative comes in the shape of Marseilles based double team Amine Edge & DANCE, whose cross pollination of genres and irreverent attitude towards their craft has resulted in some of the most successful, and down right sexiest dance records of recent times.
The duo have breathed fresh new life into house, complete with hardcore rap samples, booty shaking bass and slo mo beats that have been destroying dancefloors everywhere from Ibiza to Berlin.
They have single-handedly started a fresh new scene that brings an air of inimitable french cool complete with hip hop ideals, as can be enjoyed on records like 'Halfway Crooks' (above) and 'Going To Heaven With The Goodie-Goodies'.
Last month saw the two French G-House protagonists sell out the 3000 capacity Building Six in London in a matter of days, so you'll have to be quick to get your tickets for their arrival at Sheffield's Fez Club on May 2nd, thanks to Wired, De:Bug, Techtonic and Fez. Bag your Amine Edge & DANCE tickets here.
