Win a Rock n Roll Weekender to Jack Daniel’s Birthday JD Set in Tennessee
Due to the courthouse fire that destroyed his birth certificate, no one’s sure of Mr Jack’s exact birthday. All we know is that it was sometime in September 1850 so the good folk at Jack Daniel’s celebrate all month long, culminating in the hotly anticipated Birthday JD Set at the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
Win tickets for you and a friend to travel to the US for the ultimate birthday celebration where you can raise a toast to Mr. Jack in the company of this year’s rousing line up - Roisin Murphy, Tim Wheeler (Ash), House Of Lords (Young Knives) and Hugh Cornwell (Stranglers former frontman)
Each artist will be backed by the New Silver Cornet Band - a group of session musicians from Tennessee which includes Steve Cropper who co-wrote “Sittin on the Dock of the Bay” and David Hood of ‘Muscle Shoals Sound’. This hugely talented band was formed in memory of the original Silver Cornet Band formed by Mr. Jack back in 1892, thus starting JD’s long standing love and support of music.
Just 200 people will be lucky enough to attend the Birthday JD Set and experience a night of unforgettable solos & unique collaborations which help make it a once in a lifetime rock and roll experience. The gig takes place on BBQ Hill overlooking the Jack Daniel Distillery where every drop is made.
The trip (17 -19 October) includes a southern style barbecue, tasting and tour of the distillery, travel and four star accommodation. Entrants must be over 21 and UK residents with valid passports. Age, ability to travel and compliance with US immigration criteria must be verified within 3 days of prize notification.
