Win Manchester Warehouse Project Tickets
12th Sep 2008
Welcome to The Warehouse Project
As you may be new to the city, you can be forgiven for maybe not hearing about The Warehouse Project. However, you will not be forgiven for forgetting.
Basically it all started out with an idea. 13 consecutive weeks of DJ's, Bands and Live Acts in a disused Boddingtons Brewey near Strangeways, which although was freezing (it wasn't the warmest end of the year) certainly warmed the hearts and captured the imagination of the 60 thousand or so people that visited the venue over the season.
Sasha, Annie Mac, Erol, 2 Many DJ's - literally hundreds of superstars graced Manchester. In fact, many suggested that when The Warehouse Project is in town - they own Manchester. We wouldn't disagree.

So then it went. The Brewery was pulled down (literally) and the city returned to normal. People started to feel sad, life wasn't worth living - normal clubs just didn't cut it. Those that missed out wept quietely in the corner, those that were lucky/clever enough to attend smiled everytime their ruined trainers fell out the cupboard. It was over.
Nobody knew what to do.
Nobody knew what to do.
But then - a new venue. New DJ's. Beneath the streets - which is literally a disused carpark beneath a railway station was born. People flocked from miles around to make sure they didn't miss out on this action. There was no room for mistake - the warehouse was back. But as quickly as it came it went again. People were torn between
emotions, could they, would they get one more fix.
Just as it was three years ago when the gates to Boddingtons, The Warehouse Project remains a big experiment. One that continues to evolve quite naturally... We never really know exactly how its going to turn out and there is nothing that has gone before that does it quite like this. For sure, its going to be another crazy three months in Manchester, with over 60,000 people flocking from around the country to attend these parties.
Season 3 of The Warehouse Project sees the return to Store Street for the final time.
With plans for a new hotel and apartment block next door to the site, they will be unable to use this space in 2009. Who knows where the next part of the story will take us... we've come to realise that in a way we just need to put it in the hands of fate.
