Albert Hall's potential as a live and dance music venue was unmistakable from the moment it opened its doors after its renovation back in 2013. The jaw-dropping architecture, the light reflecting stain glass and the tiered main space - this building was unlike any other in Manchester, and it was about to get used for something spectacular.

Since its re-opening, names from the world of electronic, rock and indie have made their way through the doors of the grade II listed Wesleyan Chapel, making their mark on the venue and the hordes of crowds that were desperate to see the space for themselves. From the Transmission series to Bongo's Bingo, Albert Hall has proved its versatility in ingenious style.

Events in the venue are now more in demand than ever, and the rosters and collaborations just keep getting bigger and bigger. We've rounded up the upcoming events to give you an idea of the quality of listings the team behind the space are executing.

The first event of January will take place on Friday 29th with a group that dominated 2015, Kurupt FM. The gang behind the comedy series People Just Do Nothing hit the big time this year with their garage and grime sets and air wave collaboration with Craig David (watch above).

On Friday 5th February the Ibiza-born brand ANTS arrives in Manchester with the brand's ambassador Andrea Oliva at the helm. He'll be joined by Maya Jane Coles, Steve Lawler and Nic Fanciulli

The following day DJ EZ takes hold for a headline set, guaranteed to be shaped by his relentless garage and bass heavy house sounds, with a few classics thrown in for good measure (check out our recent TBT for DJ EZ's Boiler Room).

Onto Friday 12th February and Manchester's most famous clubbing institution the Hacienda will take over the hall for a night led by some of dance music's legends including David Morales (above), Kenny Dope and residents Mike Pickering and Graeme Park. The following Friday will see the queen of bass house Hannah Wants headline the historic venue.

Ape and Metropolis are partnering up on Saturday 20th February to bring drum n bass superstars Chase & Status to Albert Hall with support from Bugzy Malone and Culture Shock

Kaluki is celebrating its tenth anniversary with Joris Voorn and Eats Everything on Friday 26th February and on the following day Tchami is set to take centre stage for Sanction's event. Fast forward to Sunday 27th March and Armin Van Buuren arrives in Manchester for an Easter take over.
