Turner to bring the Puppets to Sheffield

1st Jul 2008

Alex Turner is to return to his home city of Sheffield as part of a world tour with his new project The Last Shadow Puppets.

The Arctic Monkey – together with The Rascals' front man Miles Kane – created the side project earlier this year and their debut record The Age of the Understatement topped the album charts in April.

In their live performances, the duo will be joined by Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford – who produced the album – as well as Stephen Fretwell on bass and a full string orchestra.

Tickets for the gig at Sheffield City Hall on October 23rd go on sale this Saturday, July 5th, with the band also set to play gigs in London – at the Hammersmith Apollo – New York, Los Angeles and Berlin.

Last weekend, The Last Shadow Puppets played a secret gig at Glastonbury Festival with White Stripes guitarist Jack White.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18664100-ADNFCR
