In spring 2007 it was decided Brighton was the perfect location to begin a new adventure and a home was found @ the Ocean Rooms and a rather special debut event was rustled together with the legendary Freq Nasty in tow... and what a night that turned out to be!

One year later and after numerous other parties with the likes of Chris Carter, Mickey Slim, Tom Real, Koma & Bones, Aquasky, The Rogue Element, Dylan Rhymes, 30HZ, Blende, Slackshot, Kai_1, Gav Ravenous, Rhythm Logstics, Matt Handy, G-13, Pablo, Chris Psychosis, Nechto, DJ Kristian, Matt Loraine, Jimmy Neutron, Ryan Bushell, Aulday, DJ Zefer, Genetix, The Brothers Perv, Lizzie Curious, Omaha, Audiodice, Promo, Ignition, Pablo and many more DJs, producers and cutting edge performers... we’ve found ourselves with the pleasant task of organising our 1st Birthday.

To make the event that little bit more special, we’re bringing down to Brighton the notorious CHEW THE FAT!, who as London’s longest running Breaks entrepreneurs, are arguably one of the biggest players in the UK’s underground music scene, and who we know will perfectly compliment our Basement vibe.

Supplying the grooves on the night we have Baobinga who is having quite a year... First up on Fat! Records Baobinga with partner in crime ID dropped the impressive Big Monster! LP which has gone down an absolute treat with DJs and clubbers alike, while just flying in on Passenger Records is his long awaited Body Snatchers LP, recorded with 30HZ and a number of guests. If there was ever time a time to check out where this guy is at right now, then this is surely it!

We also have the talented sounds of Tom Real who since having last graced the Tribal decks in Oct last year has been snapped up by Fakt Recordings and has singles and remixes cropping up all over the place both on his own and with studio partner The Rogue Element.
Chew The Fat resident and leading player behind the scenes, Kid Blue also joins us as does Matt Handy who over the last decade has helped keep the underground music scene thriving on the South coast with his Portsmouth based Hands on Record Shop, and his massive Contact & Overload the Fort parties.

Tribal Medicine resident DJs Kai_ 1 & Gav Ravenous will be supplying the more than ample support as will the illustrious beats of Bongo Ben, the smooth and subtle lyrical vibes of the Sidekick MC, and some seriously out there beat boxing from Laythe.
In the basement we keep it seriously underground and funky, sublimely blending Electro House, Breakbeat and Techno while on the middle floor it’s all about the Psy Trance.

For our first birthday the room, looked after rather splendidly by Matt Loraine and his Psy-Co crew are joined by DJ Kristian from Transient Records and Antiworld, DJ Gaba from Brazil who runs the enormous Psy Invasion parties in London, Jimmy Neutron & Genetix from Project 604 and Ryan Bushell and Monster.
 
We’ve also the laidback grooves of The Brothers Perv and guests in our penthouse cocktail lounge and a whole host of tantalising extras including our sexy fruit bearers, table magic, free CDs, tribal UV decor, lasers, visuals, Funktion1 sound and one hell of a vibe.
It’s our birthday... and we’re going to fucking party like its 2008!
