So instead of disappointing her with your attempt to cook and wash the mountain of plates afterwards, take advantage of our Free Table Booking Service and take her to one of Leeds' top restaurants.
Leeds Feeds
Like any major city, Leeds has all the usual chain restaurants, each offering a special Mother’s Day menu. We’ve a wide selection of restaurants for you to choose from but here are our picks for a delicious treat for you all.
Café Rouge is hosting a special menu featuring the best of its recipes and at £15.95 for 2 courses and £19.95 for three courses, you can enjoy lovely French food and imagine you’re sitting in a chic Parisian café.
Brasserie Forty 4 is a modern and informal restaurant in Leeds’ Call area, with terrific waterfront views. If your mum loves trendy tucker, then take advantage of their great menu and wine list.
If she’s more the traditional type, then you can’t got far wrong with lunch at Oulton Hall in its lovely grounds. It might be a bit pricier, but why not show some love for your mum with a delicious 4 course Sunday lunch at £35 with a special gift for her. Or take Champagne afternoon tea at any point over the weekend for £29. With great food in the Oulton suite, you can enjoy a gourmet carvery with a Mother’s Day gift for under £25.
Italy is a place where mothers love to feed their young, so do likewise and take her to Heathcote’s Olive Press where you can enjoy sumptuous Italian food in a contemporary setting. Reasonably priced, with a great drinks menu, you’ll be glad you took her there.
With it’s lovely, fresh Mediterranean menu Ego on King’s Street is a great place to enjoy good food. Two courses will cost £14.95 and 3 for £16.95 and you’ll leave with full tummies and a big smile on your face.
Finally, the Lakeside Restaurant at the Chevin Country Park Hotel in Otley offers a more traditional setting. Recently refurbished, this AA Rosette award winning restaurant has a log cabin interior and a cosy ambience with stunning lake views to perhaps walk around after the meal.
Going Out
Aside from eating out, treat your Mum to a night at the theatre. The Leeds Grand Theatre & Opera House has the crowd-pleasing Calendar Girls until 13th March and Dreamcoats and Petticoats with it’s big musical numbers from the 15th – 20th March.
Alternatively, take her to the lovely old-fashioned Victoria Quarter to browse the shops. If you’ve left it late to get a gift then we recommend treating her to some smellies at Molton Brown, a new outfit at Jigsaw or a nice after dinner coffee at one of the many nice cafes.
Feed your mum in Leeds and make it a real Mother’s Day to remember. Enjoy.
