Touring festival line ups announced

Pete & The Pirates and Little Man Tate are to headline a touring festival later this year which will see some of the UK's brightest new bands hit the road.

The Big British Sound: Best of the Festivals will comprise of four gigs in four different cities - Buckingham, Manchester, Birmingham and London - throughout October.

Different bands will play each gig, with Reading-based indie rockers Pete & The Pirates kicking off the tour at Bucks Student Union on October 4th.

Daggers, the Answering Machine and The Ruling Class will play Manchester Academy five days later, while The Twang will play a DJ set at Birmingham Barfly on October 18th.

The tour will end with The Ravonettes playing the 229 Club in London on October 25th, with Babyshambles' Adam Ficek lined-up to play a DJ set.
