Top designer plans UK return with London show

One of the UK's most promising young designers has confirmed she will show her next collection in London.

Alice Temperley scooped the young designer award at the 2004 ELLE Style Awards, but has recently showcased her collections in the main tent of New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park.

Now, however, the young fashion designer has confirmed she is returning home, which is good news for those wondering what's on in London in the autumn.

Ms Temperley confirmed that she would be returning to the capital in September for London fashion week.

"Being a quintessentially English brand and proud of our heritage, we are delighted to take this opportunity to return home to show our Spring/Summer 2009 collection and to be a part of the great new energy that London beholds," she explained.

It was recently revealed that London Fashion Week would take place in the capital between September 14th and September 19th.

Other designers who have recently decided to return to London to showcase their work include Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood and Luella Bartley.
