“Banter by the bucket load – Summer Break is amazing!” UWE

For three amazing weeks, the Sun drenched beaches of Newquay will see 9,000 student partygoers take over for four days of BBQs, outlandish parties, surfing and music. With the likes of Electro rapper Example, drum and bass heavy weight Sub Focus, big bass dupstepper Caspa and Radio 1s very own Mistajam already in place the line up keeps getting bigger and bigger.

First up is MOBO winner and one of grime’s freshest (and youngest) upstarts, the amazing Chipmunk. Singled out as the future face of British grime, ‘Mr Munk’ has gained support from the likes of Radio 1 and Wiley amongst others and we cant wait to see him in action!

Next in line is man of the moment and London rapper Tinie Tempah. With his debut single “Pass Out” shooting straight to number 1, it goes to show that the hype surrounding Tinie Tempah is fully justified. Dubbed the next big thing by all the big players at Radio 1 including Tim Westwood, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Chris Moyles & Jo Whiley this London boy is going to be huge!

And as if getting down and dirty and covering your self in some of the finest grime known to man wasn’t exciting enough, Summer Break are also proud to announce some amazing new additions to their DJ bill.

Joining Chipmunk and Tinie will be the very fierce and very talented DJ Zinc. With a career, which spans drum and bass, jungle and now the extremely addictive ‘crack house,’ Zinc is a name synonymous with quality.  Brutal bass lines meet a relentless and hard-hitting house engine in his jump up and down high energy sets and we’re very excited to have him on board.

Also heading down to the sun soaked Cornish Coast is the brainchild of Beni G (Mixologists) and Plus One (Scratch Perverts), Jack Beats. Representing part of a brand new wave of British house music taking in wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapellas cut, copied and then pasted lovingly together, this is floor filling wobble bass filth at it’s very best.

Last up will be radio 1’s very own Andy George and Jaymo. Slamming out everything from electro, disco, synth pop and indie these rising upstarts wont fail to get you bopping!

And if you need to relax after some well deserved post exam raving, the exclusive Summer Break private beach complete with a live acoustic stage is perfect for catching some rays and sleeping off last nights hang over. If making human lobster impressions isn’t your thing, there are plenty of hair-raising activities including cheap surf lessons, zip wires, cliff- hangers and more!

Expect an unbeatable 4 days and nights of beach side activities, tent sharing, caravan hopping and none stop post exam partying and all for the super student friendly price of just £64pp to camp and £94pp for a caravan in the exclusive Summer Break holiday park.

Students need only pay a cheap as chips £30 deposit and don’t have to part with their precious cash until May so caravans are filling up fast and with the line up getting better and better make sure you book soon to avoid disappointment!

With a range of accommodation packages starting from just £64pp for camping and £94pp for a caravan, which includes 4 nights accommodation, club entry and day time entertainment, you summer starts here. If you don’t want to shell out, students can make money by promoting the event to their friends! So whether it’s raving, chilling or simply enjoying the amazing atmosphere and campsite banter, Summer Break 2010 has something for everyone.
