What can I say? This has been floating around for a while now, or it feels like it has. I love it. Dirty bass lines, uplifting vocals and housey piano! What's not to like? Sub Focus is nothing new but I think this year is his big year for being part of the mainstream crowd. The hardcore DnB fans will probably call him a sell out but it seems to be the time to do it, dubstep has peaked and is filtering into pop music. I believe it's time to step up and bring it back to its dirty roots; Drum and Bass.
On this promo there are a number of versions of 'Could This Be Real' along with a track called 'Triple X' which is a typical DnB track with ripping reese bass and saw leads. I must admit I love the original version a lot but the DnB remix just gets that little bit dirtier; I see these featuring heavily on the dance floors this year. (Not too keen on the Joker's Remix though). I'm really looking forward to seeing him perform in Preston over Easter!
