Standon Calling steps in for Redfest ticket holders
17th Jun 2008
Fans who have tickets for the cancelled Redfest festival have been given the chance to exchange them for a pass into a similar event.Redfest was due to take place over the weekend of July 4th and 5th near London in Surrey, with Patrick Wolf appearing. However, it was cancelled last week due to poor ticket sales.
Despite this, organisers of the Standon Calling festival in Hertfordshire are offering ticket buyers the option of exchanging their Redfest ticket for a two-day pass to the Hertfordshire event, which takes place between August 1st and 3rd.
Alex Trenchard from Standon Calling said: "We know from our own experience how tough it is to get a festival going so we really felt for Redfest when they had to cancel in their first year. We're really looking forward to welcoming new friends into the heart of Standon."
Acts confirmed to play at Standon Calling are Mystery Jets, The Maccabees, Super Furry Animals and Dave Haslam.
