We've launched a new mix series with the intention of capturing the music that our favourite artists play in the heat of the moment. Crowd reaction and atmosphere plays a huge part in gigs, and by recording their sets live you get a proper feel for what the event was like.

Skiddle Live will feature live recordings from DJ sets at events around the country, and to kick things off we got disco edits maestro Late Nite Tuff Guy on board. Have a listen to the results below.

We went down to Discoteca Poca at Liverpool's glorious Constellations venue for a boogie outside on their terrace before heading indoors to see the funk selector.  

This hour-long snippet from his set features some of the most recognisable edits from him, but also a couple of newbies. Turn it up and put on your dancing shoes.
