Shalamar embark on UK tour

Prolific disco ensemble Shalamar hit the UK in April for an extensive tour.

Fresh from the eighties and still going strong, disco funk threesome Shalamar are taking off on an exclusive UK tour. After selling 25 million records worldwide, tickets are sure to be in demand from boogie down loyalists seeking a memorable time.

Opening up at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on Wednesday 1st April, the tour touches down at multiple venues including Batley Frontier on Sunday 5th April on the way to Glasgow's curtain closer at 02 ABC on the 11th

Founded by Soul Train operator Don Cornelius and singer Gary Mumford, who was eventually replaced by Gerald Brown and then Howard Hewett, the group are answerable to a mega trail of hits, with 'Looking for a new love' singer Jody Watley and inventor of the moonwalk Jeffery Daniels two high profile members over the years. 

They'll perform ultimate sing-a-long classics such as 'I can make you feel good' (above), 'There it is' and 'Take it to the bank' throughout the tour. This performance will feature the current line up of the group consisting of singer Carolyn Griffey, who has fronted the group for twelve years, alongside Hewett and Daniel.
