This Saturday continues that mandate with thrilling aplomb. Headlining is none other than the UK’s fastest rising star, Mickey Slim. Mickey’s Sound has quickly epitomised all that is good about main room dance music, iconoclastic, rippling bass lines alongside quirky hooks and snippets of vocals. Whilst always retaining an accessible edge, there’s never a hint of commercialism about Slim’s beats, fiercely staying rooted in the background and bringing a hip-hop attitude to the sensibility of house. Joining him will be Dutch sensation Don Diablo. Fresh from recently mixing his own DJMag cover mount, Don has been rinsing it in his native Holland for a hot minute. Always bringing a tough edge to dance music, his first forages into gilt edged house music saw him instilled as passion resident in the early part of the century, offering a funkier alternative to the club’s mainstay of Trance.
