Deep Dish were widely regarded as being at the top of their game, balancing underground DJ sets at some of the world’s best clubs whilst producing and remixing a string of mainstream global smash tunes, including the seminal Flashdance, helping to augment one of the most powerful duos in dance music. But whilst the reverberations of his split with Dubfire from the globally acclaimed moniker with which they had achieved almost messiah-like fame ran far and wide, it was also widely touted that a break from working together would help develop their own separate sounds. For Dubfire, this has led into a dark, technoir field of music replete with pulsating beats and fizzing break downs; for Sharam, he has charted a more familiar yet none the less exemplary path, embodying the very best of house and electro which has seen him soloing it around some of the world’s best clubs during the last 12 months. And now he comes to one venue that is right up there in the clubbing pantheon of true greats – Sankeys.
A masterly technician and also an astute crafter of epic sounds, Sharam’s set at Sankeys promises to be one of the highlights of the 15th anniversary celebrations.
Sharam is supported by Tim Owen for what promises to be a spectacular night in Manchester, ushering in a sublime month of music at Sankeys. Here comes the summer.
