Rock down to Electric Avenue in Manchester

30th Jun 2008

Hugely influential legend Eddy Grant is to follow up his successful Glastonbury set with a trip to Manchester in early July.

The Electric Avenue singer - who also had major hits with I Don't Wanna Dance and Gimme Hope Jo'anna - will play at one of the most intimate venues for Manchester gigs, Club Academy.

Tickets for the gig on Wednesday July 9th are on sale now.

The show, along with gigs in London, Sheffield and Liverpool, will promote Grant's new greatest hits album, which is released today (June 30th).

Meanwhile, another artist who had a very successful Glastonbury weekend will also be visiting Manchester.

Sydney born, Los Angeles-based singer Sam Sparro - who had a massive worldwide hit with Black and Gold earlier this year - will play Manchester Academy 2 on Friday September 26th.
