Mellowtone have been bringing folk, blues and roots music to Liverpool for over a decade now following the creation of their record label in 2004.

Aside from a plethora of acoustic artists, Mellowtone's resident DJs are always on hand to serve up funk, blues, soul and a whole lot more, and as Autumn draws ever nearer there's more plenty planned for the collective looking forward.

First up is Idlewild lead singer Roddy Woomble who comes to Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room on Friday 16th September. He will be performing his debut album My Secret Is Silence on the night, marking its 10th anniversary.

Paul Dunbar and the Black Winter Band will unveil their debut single 'Barely Holding On' at Leaf on Bold Street on Friday 23rd September while the Mellowtone music quiz comes to Jacaranda Records Ltd on Monday 3rd October.

Finally, James Yorkston will cap off a busy year that saw him team up with John Thorne and Suhail Yusuf Khan to release the trio's debut record Everything Sacred. The singer plays alone at The Magnet on Thursday 15th September.
