It's pretty widely accepted that Manchester has one of the richest music heritages going. Not only stemming from the usual suspects, the city continues to home a broadly blossoming music community that perpetually contributes to Manchester's unparalleled stature.

Taking scope at current affairs in Manchester, Trof Live, fit that mould with a programme of music for the upcoming months. Splayed across a trio of the city's popular venues, we've taken time out to bring you the entirety of what they've got in store.

Kicking things off at The Deaf Institute on Sunday 8th March, Indie pop ensemble To Kill A King woo the crowd with their sound pinpointed somewhere in between Mumford & Sons and Bastille. Our pick of the bunch, Raglans bring a glossier indie aesthetic to the same venue on the 15th, here's their track 'Digging Holes' (below) if you haven't heard them already.

If you're looking for something slightly different, Sun Ra Akestra journeying the history of jazz is definitely worth checking out on the 22nd at Gorilla. Patterns bring a fresh lick of Shoegaze Pop to the Deaf Institute on the 28th and Alt Rock five piece Balthazar also arrive there on Friday 10th April.

Duke Garwood exhibits his multi instrumental talents on Saturday 11th, Steve Howe, formerly of prog rock group Yes hits Gorilla on the 14th and American five piece Murder By Death pluck the riches from their songbook back at Deaf Institute on Monday 18th

Bringing a significant bout of eclecticism to the decadent confines of the Albert Hall is Nils Frahm. The modern classical pianist showcases his key trickery on Sunday 24th in a fitting end to a fantastic array of live music from Trof.
