mUmU launches its first of four parties for their final series in Liverpool. Commencing outdoors in the yard will be the wonderful eclectic duo of Waifs & Strays. The Bristolian house music pioneers combine their differing sonic backgrounds to create the unique and forward thinking productions they are now renowned for. Releasing records on Leftroom, Resonance, Futureboogie and Dirtybird, Waifs & Strays have established themselves as members of the nu-breed of house music in the UK, appearing at clubs around the world, from DC10 in Ibiza to London’s Fabric.

They will be joined by Local heroes Henry St. Social, whose cool, melodic house vibes have seen them become a seriously sought after DJ team around the country. With a killer Funktion One Soundsystem providing the soundtrack, as well as outside bar and even food, the day is sure to get off to a cracking start.

The evening sees the move to the Warehouse venue and the arrival of the first ever back to back DJ set between Mathias Kaden & Daniel Stefanik in the UK. Mathias has been gaining more and more praise in recent times, as his honed percussive microhouse has stepped into its own. His trademark lively based lines and smooth chord stabs are a surefire hit at mUmU.

Daniel Stefanik on the other hand has been causing waves with his genre bending techno, house and leftfield productions. The Cocoon and Freude am Tanzen records favourite has running through his work a unique groove that is hard to place yet wholly infectious. These two DJs back to back is sure to get the dancefloor pumping in the most original ways possible.

It’s yet another intelligent and impressive line up from the guys at mUmU. We can’t think of a better way to spend the August bank holiday weekend.
