Described by electronic music pioneer Neil Landstrumm as "A perfectly sized intimate festival in the Yorkshire hills built round good people, crew and most importantly quality electronic music", Summer Saturnalia has established itself as a refreshingly unique, not for profit festival that is all about music, art and having a good time rather than being about money.

Having expanded, grown and improved as the years have gone by, both in its line up and production values and yet remains true to its original aim - to throw a small but perfectly-formed festival, by and for artists, musicians and appreciators, who are in turn treated to intimate sets from established underground heavyweights and the best up-and-coming new talent.

This year sees the Skipton festival, held between the 19th and 21st July, join up with the likes of Electronic Explorations, Macronite, Future Formation, Press-in-Press, MisDigest Oakum, Movement, No/Gloss Film Festival and Sick Chirpse to put together its finest edition yet.

Some of the artists invited to the festival include Bristolian dub technician Pinch, Zurich based electronic reggae pioneers Elijah and Skilliam, Hot Flushes abstract dancefloor provocateur Objekt, cutting edge techno exponents Akkord, industrial techno/bass generator Perc, and Mixmag’s ‘saviour of dubstep’ Compa. Selecting electronic musicians as keen on experimenting as well as lightin up dancefloors has become Summer Saturnalia’s trademark, making this the perfect festival for those who like to be challenged, pushed, and provoked by their music.

With even more cutting edge artist announced, you can expect a full lineup of forward thinking music held across four main stages, offering an unrivalled breadth of underground electronic music with visual, digital, performance, and interactive arts integrated into the experience.
