London's Jazz Cafe opens its doors to hip hop royalty when Pharoahe Monch swoops down with lyrical complexity and boom bap beats on Wednesday 10th August

This follows a run of festival appearances including Boom Bap Festival at Mildenhall Stadium in July and Soundwave Festival Croatia in August.

One half of nineties rap duo Organized Confusion, Monch rose to prominence with a lyrical narrative that veered away from gangsta rap, instead impacting with socio-political rhymes.

The rapper wound three acclaimed LPs alongside Prince Poetry in the group, including the formidable classic Stress:The Extinction Agenda, before igniting a solo career with Rawkus records released Internal Affairs and its dancefloor slaying single 'Simon Says'.

Continuing his solo-voyage, Monch solidified his influence as an underground MC with works that reflect on the genre's inner workings to gun crime on most recent album Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
