Thousands of music lovers get involved every year to raise money for Oxfam and following the success of the last gigs in April, resulting in over £2000 being raised, Oxjam is back and better then ever. The Oxjam team have re-united to bring some of Liverpool’s most popular signed and unsigned bands to the stage and this time breaking the boundaries and exploring the depths of Liverpool’s independent music scene, Oxjam is hitting new heights and will be holding events all the way through November 08 – March 09, in an array of versatile genres from indie, alternative, punk, rock...to electro and dance.
All proceeds from the events will go towards tackling poverty all over the world.
Supporting Oxjam helps people in the world’s most poverty stricken countries get an education, proper health care, fresh water, grow more food and earn a living.
The Oxjam season will be kicking off with the official launch event for winter 2008 in November, with a line-up of the best bands on today’s scene.
So, whatever your taste in music, whether you want to re-live the summer festival season or check out the city’s newest and hottest talent- do your bit by getting involved to help end poverty!
‘Oxjam; A music festival with a difference: you make it happen.’
