World renowned artist Osunlade returns to England in June, bringing with him a number of incredibly talented musicians from all over the globe for an orchestrated performance set to encompass the values of the influential Yoruba Records brand.

With over 20 albums credited to his production, and an extensive back catalogue of musical projects, Osunlade was led to Ifa, an ancestral based culture derived from the Yoruba tribes of Africa. This inspiration soon became the source for label Yoruba Records, launched in 1999, and is now widely recognised as one of the most important dance music labels in the industry.

Osunlade and Yoruba Records incorporate the influences of soul, jazz and alternative electronica into the sounds of deep house to create something truly unique, with the intention to elevate the spirit away from corporate ideals.

The Yoruba Soul Orchestra are a group of 10 like-minded musicians spreading this sound creation through live instrumentation, featuring special guest vocals from Eric Roberson who collaborated with Osunlade back in 2002 on the classic track ‘Change For Me’. The gifted group will be playing The Jazz Café in London on the 8th June, before travelling over to Patterns in Brighton on the 9th.
