New hotel set for Liverpool

A new hotel in Liverpool has taken a unique approach to recruitment to ensure guests enjoy their stay when the facility opens later this month.

The Staybridge Suites hopes to become one of the best hotels in Liverpool when in opens on June 19th.

To ensure guests at the "extended-stay hotel" enjoy their time, the owners of the Staybridge Suites opted to recruit people who had little previous hotel experience. Instead they were asked to demonstrate their creativity and passion.

Staybridge Suites' culture coach, Janet Roberts, explained the thinking: "To break away from the traditional hotel service and help recreate Staybridge Suites' unique homely spirit in the UK, team members essentially become a part of each guest's extended family.

"We are confident that our Liverpool auditions have helped us identify employees who we believe to have the genuine star quality we look for."

The new Liverpool hotel is the first from the chain outside of the US. The hotel will be located on the King's Waterfront development.
