Read our spotlight on Egg London's New Year's Eve celebrations.
Date published: 3rd Dec 2013
There's just four weeks to go till New Year's Eve 2013 comes round and heralds the start of next year. We're littered with options for you to get involved in, but if you like your house and techno and plan on spending the night in the capital, then look no further than Egg London.
Having celebrated its tenth year in May, Egg London reputation has soared in the past eighteen months since a new direction in musical programming. Realigning itself with the electronic music underground, the talent list has bulged at the seams with a who's who of the underground frequently represented. That's continued for the event they've entitled NYE: The One, a nineteen hour extravaganza that starts at 8pm on the 31st and finished 3pm the following day.
Topping the bill will be Hot Creations' Miguel Campbell, the man who has helped spearhead the emergence of the song back into dance music in recent years as well as the credible clubland chart track. On top of that he's a DJ in possession of a canny ear for melody and a sound that raids house and disco and also finds time to run his own imprint Outcross records.
Club Chanteuse Cassy is next up, a DJ who's residency sheet reads like a who's who of the global dance music community, PanoramaBar, Rex Club and Trouw among them. This year she added a Fabric Mix CD to a list of compilations she has been behind which has previously featured Cocoon and Panorama Bar, and her sets combine ripple with electronic music class and pedigree.
ON top of these two Circo Loco temptress Tania Vulcano makes her Egg London debut, Yorkshire lothario wAFF swings by and Italian firebrand Pirupa brings his energetic tech house to the fore. There's still a headliner to be announced as well to add to an already mouthwatering bill, with VIP packages also available if you fancy seeing out the year in style. All the listing details are here.
