New Year's Eve Fireworks in Leeds
Briggate and The Headrow in Leeds city centre will be the destination for revellers from 2pm on December 31st, as the city puts on a celebration to ring in the New Year.
Hosted by 96.3 Radio Aire, a wide variety of events will be put on throughout the day, ahead of the midnight celebrations that will mark the changing of the year.
The event is also ideal for children and families, as a firework finale will signal the end of the afternoon revelry and mark the beginning of the countdown to 2010.
Before that, however, a huge selection of entertainment will be on offer, with a theatrical performance of Harry Potter and friends and an amazing musical parade of giant drumming 'Techno Robots'.
Live music will be provided throughout the day, in part thanks to the Sgt Peppers stilt walking band, delivering harmonies of Beatles music.
New Year celebrations have become an increasingly major event throughout the country and this year's are expected to be one of the biggest since the Millennium ten years ago.
This is an afternoon celebration finishing with fireworks at around 5.30pm, giving you plenty of time to go home and get ready for New Years Eve Events in Leeds. Alternatively why not treat the kids to a New Years Eve Dinner at one of Leeds Great Restaurants or make a night of it and stay in one of the many Leeds Hotels.
We're an official outlet for all the following events, plus our tickets are guaranteed the lowest price!
