New Leeds hotel reveals star chef

7th May 2008

The Ellington has revealed another reason why it will be able to compete with the best hotels in Leeds when it opens in the city later this year.

Owners of the Ellington, Pantin Hotels group, revealed that legendary chef Albert Roux would work to produce the menu at the Leeds hotel.

As well as overseeing the creation of the boutique hotel's menu, Albert Roux will also train all the Ellington's chefs at his restaurant in London, Le Gavroche.

The hotel is set to open in Leeds in August this year, and will be located in the heart of the city's financial district, on York Place.

When the hotel was first announced, the owners promised: "The Ellington is a new build luxury boutique hotel, offering contemporary style, sophisticated accommodation and fine dining, and will take pride in offering each guest personalised and attentive service."

Last year, Gerhard Schaller was named as the hotel's director of operations. He previously worked in some of the best hotels in London, Edinburgh, Mexico and India.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18583036-ADNFCR
