Melee eye up debut headlining tour

16th Jul 2008

Orange County pop-rock quartet Melee are to bring their mix of piano-based melody and raw rock to the UK later this year in their first headlining tour of the country.

With current single Built To Last gaining significant radio airplay across the world, Melee will play King's College London Student Union on October 2nd.

This show will be followed up with gigs in Sheffield - at the Steel Cage - and Manchester's intimate Academy 3 venue.

Lead by Chris Cron, the band have been on the scene since 2003 and have previously toured with Starting Line and Bowling For Soup. Melee made their UK festival debut earlier this month at the O2 Wireless event in London.

Meanwhile, Scouse scampsters The Wombats have announced a new London gig this November.

The gig - at Shepherd's Bush Empire on November 17th - will be the third in a run of dates at smaller London venues.
