Manchester to host MGMT spectacular

2nd Jul 2008

Brooklyn duo MGMT have announced that their autumn UK tour is to call in at Manchester.

The band, who released their stunning Oracular Spectacular debut album earlier this year, will play gigs in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and London throughout November.

Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden will bring their unique spectacle to Manchester’s Academy 1 venue on November 11th, the day after playing Birmingham Academy.

Last weekend, MGMT – whose song Electric Feel is in the UK Top 40 singles chart at the moment – supported Radiohead at their world tour date at Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester.

Meanwhile, the duo have announced two low-key warm-up shows before the Reading and Leeds festivals in August.

They will play gigs in Norwich – on August 19th – and Oxford two days later, with tickets on sale from Friday July 4th.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18665447-ADNFCR
