Manc electro rockers The Whip head for London

25th Jun 2008

Manchester electro rockers The Whip have announced a one-off London date to follow up this weekend's Glastonbury performance.

To celebrate the release of their latest single Blackout, the Mancunian four-piece will play Fabric in London on July 18th.

This weekend, the band will play on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury festival, before heading overseas to tour Spain, the US and France, before returning for the Fabric gig.

Earlier this year, the band released their debut album X Marks Destination to widespread critical acclaim, with punchy beats and dirty bass lines bringing back memories of the golden Hacienda era.

Meanwhile, another key player of the Manchester music scene has also announced a one-off date in London.

Oasis' Andy Bell is to play a DJ slot at the This Feeling night at the Parker McMillan venue, with The Rifles playing an acoustic set on the night this Friday (June 27th).
